United Community Bank was originally chartered in 1911 and has been in continuous operation since that time. It first operated in Bertha, Minnesota. When Perham's two Banks failed in the 1930's, Perham was without a banking facility for approximately two years.

The bank's name was changed to United Community Bank in 1995 to more accurately reflect our mission to serve the financial needs of an expanding area. United Community Bank have total assets in excess of $180 million.
