United Bank got its start back in 1887 as the Wayland Exchange Bank. Over the years, the bank have opened branches across West Michigan and added a mortgage corporation, investment center, even a full-service insurance agency.

Throughout the 1990s and into the 21st Century, United Bank continued to expand its footprint throughout western Michigan and expanded its offerings of high value financial products and services, now including many insurance and investment options, through both individual personal service as well as ever-expanding technology driven options to meet the ever-changing needs of its clientele.

United Bank also remains deeply committed to the many communities it serves – including the one where it got its start.
