Terms and Definitions

• Domestic deposits

  The sum of all domestic deposits, including demand deposits, money market deposits and time deposits.
• Equity capital

  Total equity capital (includes preferred and common stock, surplus and undivided profits).
• ROA

  Return on assets, net income after taxes and extraordinary items (annualized) as a percent of average total assets.
• ROE

  Return on equity, annualized net income as a percent of average equity on a consolidated basis.

The Village Bank offers the following types of checking accounts:

Village Account is a free checking account. You do not need to keep a required minimum balance in the account.

Regular Account is a checking account where a service charge fee of $10.00 will be imposed per statement cycle if the balance falls below $100.00 any day of the cycle. This fee will be waived for customers 65 and over, full-time students 22 and under, and not-for-profit organizations.

Villager Plus Account is for banks customers over the age of 55 and have a Passbook Savings account with us. There is no minimum balance requirement.

NOW Account is for customers who wish to earn interest on their checking account. The minimum balance to open this account is $1,000.00. A service charge fee of $10.00 will be imposed per statement cycle if the balance in the account falls below $1,000.00 any day of the cycle.

The Village Bank offers ATM cards and MasterCard Debit Cards upon approval.
