Terms and Definitions

• Domestic deposits

  The sum of all domestic deposits, including demand deposits, money market deposits and time deposits.
• Equity capital

  Total equity capital (includes preferred and common stock, surplus and undivided profits).
• ROA

  Return on assets, net income after taxes and extraordinary items (annualized) as a percent of average total assets.
• ROE

  Return on equity, annualized net income as a percent of average equity on a consolidated basis.

Heritage Bank is a locally owned and managed financial institution with over one hundred years of service to the area. Heritage Bank is headquartered in Spencer, Wisconsin. It was originally capitalized in 1908 as Spencer State Bank with $10,000 by 39 individuals. The bank is one of the few that did not close for a bank holiday during the Depression. In 2008, Heritage Bank celebrated 100 years as an independent locally owned community bank.
