The Jonesboro State Bank was founded in January of 1913 and for over 100 years has provided sound, reliable hometown banking services for the people and businesses of Jackson Parish and surrounding communities. For decades Jonesboro State Bank has supported parish, civic, and educational organizations. One key way the bank shows support is through the continual support of local schools and their various academic and athletic programs. More than 25 years ago, the Bank and its management were instrumental in the establishment of the I. J., Allen Scholarship Fund administered by the Jackson Parish School Board. The I. J. Allen Scholarship along with a Grambling State University endowment award $14,000 each year to students graduating from Jackson Parish High Schools.
