Terms and Definitions

• Domestic deposits

  The sum of all domestic deposits, including demand deposits, money market deposits and time deposits.
• Equity capital

  Total equity capital (includes preferred and common stock, surplus and undivided profits).
• ROA

  Return on assets, net income after taxes and extraordinary items (annualized) as a percent of average total assets.
• ROE

  Return on equity, annualized net income as a percent of average equity on a consolidated basis.

Farmers Savings Bank offers a range of consumer products including installment loans for a variety of purposes, auto loans, home improvement loans, and real estate mortgages, including mortgages marketed through the secondary market.

The bank also offer business products including inventory loans, equipment financing, short-term operating lines of credit, and real estate mortgages. We will assist qualifying applicants to obtain SBA guarantees. Farmers Savings Bank offers agricultural loans for crop and/or livestock production, equipment financing, short-term operating lines of credit, and real estate mortgages. The bank also participate in the Iowa Agricultural Development Authority’s Beginning Farmer program.

Farmers Savings Bank offers many IRA options. You must deposit $100.00 to open any account. Interest rates are variable and will be compounded and credited to the account semiannually. Farmers Savings Bank offers a variety of terms on Certificates of Deposit. Certificates of deposit can be opened with a minimum deposit of $500.00 or more. A penalty may be imposed for withdrawals before maturity.
