Trustmark is a diversified regional financial services company headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi, with more than 200 locations across the Southeast, including Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas. Trustmark provides banking, wealth management and insurance solutions through its subsidiaries, including Trustmark National Bank, Trustmark Investment Advisors, Inc. and Fisher Brown Bottrell Insurance, Inc.

Trustmark was founded on November 14, 1889, when the State of Mississippi chartered The Jackson Bank. In 1914, The Jackson Bank converted to a national bank and became The Jackson National Bank; within the same year the bank changed its name to Jackson-State National Bank. This name remained until 1949 when Jackson-State National Bank and the Capital National Bank consolidated and formed First National Bank of Jackson. In 1968, the bank’s holding company, First Capital Corporation, was organized. On September 4, 1985, First National Bank of Jackson took on a distinctive new identity as Trustmark National Bank and achieved a statewide presence. The Trustmark family has grown to include not only Trustmark National Bank but also Fisher Brown Bottrell Insurance, Inc. Trustmark first established its presence outside of Mississippi in the Memphis, Tennessee area with the merger of Peoples’ Bank in 2001 and Nashoba Bank in 2002.

In 2003, Trustmark entered the State of Florida with the acquisition of Emerald Coast Bank, expanding its presence into the Florida Panhandle with six branches in Destin and Panama City. Trustmark extended its territory into Houston, Texas with the acquisition of Allied Houston Bank in 2004 and Republic National Bank in 2006. Trustmark acquired Heritage Bank in Carthage, Mississippi, extending its footprint further into Central Mississippi in 2011. In 2012, Trustmark completed a merger with Bay Bank &Trust in Panama City, Florida. This merger provided Trustmark with seven additional locations in the Florida Panhandle. In 2013, Trustmark extended its footprint into the State of Alabama with forty bank locations, including markets such as Selma, Montgomery and Mobile, through the acquisition of BankTrust. The merger with BankTrust also added an additional nine Trustmark locations in the Florida Panhandle.
